Types of Network

To under stand types of network just see the image.
Two types are most famous that are Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide area Network (WAN).

Wide Area Network:All the web or internet is called Wide area network(WAN).
Local Area Network:Connect devices within a small place or office is called Local area network(LAN).

Explanation:

•  Lan is a part of Wan. 
• There are more than one Lan in Wan. 
• Lan can be connect through modem or routher to Wan. 
• Small office,company are example of Lan, world wide web is example of Wan. 

There are other types of Network like are Wirless Local area networks (WLAN), Metropolitan area network (MAN), Storage area network (SAN).

Metropolitan Area Network: Metropolitan area network is larger than Local area network but smaller than Wide area network. This network covered a specific geographical area. Another form Wireless Metropolitan Area Network. This is larger than Metropolitan Area Network due to his wireless signal technology with specific wireless coverage.
Personal Area Network:
Computer network used for transmission between devices like mobile,laptops,tablet etc. is called Personal Area Network.
